PS Grand Getaways inspiration comes from the love of serving people, so we decided to join the hospitality business. Seeing and seizing the opportunity to add to the gentrification of our beautiful City of Detroit and add a bit of luxury was what we wanted. Each location of our vacation homes will give "Staycation Vibes." We want our local residential and touring guests to feel like they are genuinely at a Getaway and would love to come back every time!

Do you allow parties or events?

No, we do not allow any parties, large gatherings, or events at the homes. The house capacity for all homes is 10 people max. For our homes that sleep 8, this means only 2 extra people are allowed at the home. For our home that sleeps 6, this means only 4 extra people are allowed during your stay at the home.

Health and Safety Protocols

➢ Thoroughly sanitized the entire home between guests.
➢ All linens will be sanitized in a high-temperature wash.
➢ Extra cleaning products for personal use
➢ First aid kit
➢ Fire extinguisher
➢ Smoke/carbon monoxide detectors

Why should I rent a vacation rental instead of a hotel room?

 

A vacation rental is much more like a home. Each home is individually owned and is decorated in a unique style. All of the getaway homes we offer have full kitchens, a game or lounge area, cozy spots to vibe, and private hot tubs to relax in. With all these amenities in one private home, our vacation home can feel much more comfortable and can be much more enjoyable than a single hotel room, especially when traveling!

Whats the difference between VRBO/AirBnB and your site?

VRBO/HomeAway/AirBnB are advertising sites. We are the property management company that manages everything from marketing to maintenance and housekeeping. We advertise on VRBO and other sites to get our homes the most visibility.

Can I clean the condo myself upon check-out, rather than using your cleaning services?

No. Guests are instructed not to clean or launder any items in the home upon their departure. Our housekeeping team adheres to strict cleaning and sanitation standards and is required to clean the property after each guest's departure thoroughly. You would not want to rely on the guest who stayed before you in a hotel to be your assurance that you are staying in a thoroughly cleaned room, would you?

Do you provide daily maid service?

We do not provide daily maid service. This leaves you with privacy and the convenience of washing your own laundry, as all homes have a washer and dryer with laundry soap provided.  We do offer hot tub resets during multiple-day stays if needed or requested. We are also available for important, unforeseen maintenance issues that may arise during your stay.

We've run out of toilet paper, dishwashing soap, etc. Can you bring us some more?

The host provides a starter kit of basic necessities in the kitchen and bath(s), and these items will need to be replenished by guest(s) as needed.

Is smoking allowed in the home?

Smoking is strictly forbidden inside the home. However, there is a designated smoking area at each home, either on the porch or in the yard. ashtrays are also provided outside the home.

Does the home come with linens and towels, or do I need to bring my own?

Linen, bath towels, robes, and kitchen towels are provided.

What is your lost and found policy?

We can arrange for lost/found items to be picked up at a set date and time. For guests from out of town, the host will offer to mail most items back, usually within the following week after checkout. The guest must pay the shipping fee.

Can I put a hold on a home until my group is ready to reserve?

To be fair to all of our guests, we do not allow holds on our homes. If you change your mind after you book a home, call or use the platform you booked on to cancel as soon as possible to avoid any cancellation fees.

What is required to reserve a home?

We prefer those 25 years and older with a valid government ID to book. Our homes are specifically marketed to mature adult groups or couples to have a nice, luxurious home to getaway to. â€‹

Can I bring a blow-up mattress if we have more guests than beds?

We prefer to allow only the number of guests that the home’s regular sleeping configuration can accommodate. However, if our guests are comfortable with using free space in the home to accommodate an extra sleeper, they are free to do so as long as the number of guests does not exceed the house capacity of 10 people max.

Can I bring my pet?

Sorry, no.  We do not allow any animals on or in the property. We have to stay considerate to cleaners, or upcoming guests that may be allergic to pet hair or such. We consider our homes as luxury getaways and want to provide a pet free, atmosphere for each new guest.

We will be celebrating a birthday, is there a noise restriction?

Yes. The noise ordinance is applicable at all hours and regardless of the cause.  Very simply, do not bother any of your neighbors at any time.  After 10:00 PM, noise must not be detectable outside the home.  The City of Detroit has strict noise ordinances. From 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM, there must be no detectable noise outside the home during quiet hours.  If there is a complaint by a neighbor about noise or disturbances, such as too much car traffic at the home, you can risk having your reservation immediately cancelled by PS Grand Getaways with forfeiture of all money paid, as well as being escorted off the property by the authorities.

Incidental Charges

In the event that there is damage to the property, all charges will be billed to the account of the guest who booked the home.
